Ryan Francois
Ryan played a huge part in the swing revival in the 1980s and has been in demand ever since.
The great Frankie Manning referred to him as his ‘number 3 son’. 2 time winner of the U.S. Open and American Swing Dance Championships, Ryan is the foremost authority in the US & UK on all dances connected and related to the Jazz & Swing era - including, The Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Jive, Charleston, Tap, Be Bop and Blues.

In May 2009 Ryan directed Frankie 95 The Show, which showcased the cream of the world’s Lindy Hoppers. Popularly known for his choreography on STRICTLY COME DANCING especially the Charleston routine that earned Chris Hollins & Ola Jordan - AKA “Team COLA” - Five 10’s and the win in the Strictly finals, Ryan has most recently finished working on THE STRICTLY TOUR for PHIL McINTYRE. His unique and very modern approach to traditional styles of dance are very much in demand.

Evgenia
Since Evgenia discovered Lindy Hop in 2002 she has taken every opportunity to learn and improve her knowledge of the dance by using her background in sports, her musical education, travelling to dance events and dancing in different scenes around the world, she quickly became a force to be reckoned with on the Swing Dance circuit. She started off as a social dancer later joining "The Swing Dance Company" a show group from St. Petersburg. She also attended and was placed highly in different competitions both in Russia and Europe.

Over the years Evgenia has developed her dancing skills to a professional standard in Boogie Woogie, Charleston, Authentic jazz, West Coast Swing and Salsa and of course The Lindyhop. She is based in St.Petersburg, Russia and teaches Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie regularly in several schools in the city as well as globally with a variety of dance partners.
Sonia & Hector
Hector and Sonia, a professional Lindy Hop couple. They both teach Lindy Hop on a regular basis, everyday in Barcelona and in recent years have been partly responsible for promoting the success of the Lindy Hop boom nationally. With a joint experience of over 20 years teaching (Sonia 14 years and Hector 8), they teach classes and give workshops in various dance schools in Barcelona and other cities, and right now are working in some of the most important Lindy Hop schools. They are continually involved in “spreading the Lindy Hop word”, venturing on as many attractive projects as possible. Hector and Sonia are keen to demonstrate their love and enthusiasm for Lindy Hop through their work in the hope that others too can enjoy and learn the same.

Hector and Sonia teaching perspective is focused on the fundamental aspects of what they find interesting in Lindy Hop; bouncing, partner communication and quality of movement form the basis of their teaching. From their own creative standpoint, teaching “cool” moves or combinations is not the priority, although they use them as tools for enjoyment and as a way for students to remember what they have absorbed during the classes. Hector and Sonia always try to incorporate their own individual creativity into their teaching, often showing students their own originality and invention in steps and movements which they have developed. They do this to help the student on their own creative journey and inspiration. Feedback has shown Hector and Sonia that students enjoy clear examples to explain certain movements.

Ben Cook
Benjamin originally hails from Melbourne, Australia, where he found swing dancing in 2006. He now lives in London; teaching, performing and travelling the world chasing Lindy Hop. Benjamin is a full time Lindy Hopper and currently runs two weekly swing venues in London, two performance troupes, and has taught all around Europe for the last 8 years. Proud to have come from a background without professional dance training, he has placed in over 30 different competitions around the world, is a 2-time UK Lindy Hop Champion and also won the Advanced Strictly Lindy at ILHC in 2013.

Benjamin’s ability to break down moves and ideas into surprisingly manageable pieces, and attention to personal detail of his students has earned him a reputation as one of the UK’s most prominent instructors. Ben loves to teach people all the things that he loves about swing, and his number one goal is always to show dancers the ways to exceed their own expectations without straying from having fun!

Michaela Delmonte
Michaela is loved and admired throughout the swing dance scene for her great teaching, brilliant dancing and calm and nurturing spirit. You will often see her flying through the air as one of London’s strongest aerialists or teaching the skill to others at an aerials workshop.

After getting a taste for performing with the Rhythm Rascals, Michaela is now a member of two of of Londons Swing Patrol performance troupes – the Skyliners and the Dixie Dinahs.
Bic & Simone
Simone met Bic on a crowded dance floor, they found a common passion for Lindy Hop and have never stopped dancing since. Their love for the dance has taken them to many places such as New York, China, Sweden, Barcelona and Bali to experience the various local scenes and the top teachers around the world. 2012 saw a succession of first place positions in competitions all over the UK and 1st and 2nd place at major french camps.

Bic and Simone run several camps and events in the South of England such as Maytime Mess Around, Lindy Academy, Shine and SugarPush. They have built up a local scene running 3 weekly classes in Titchfield near Fareham, Chandlers Ford near Winchester and Southampton and are invited to teach at various camps, workshops and festivals around the UK. They love sharing their passion for the dance and hope to encourage the lindy hop scene in the UK.

Trisha Sewell
Trisha will be with us at Calpe Swing Fiesta mainly to enjoy the scenery and social dancing. However, we have managed to entice her to share an few classes with you over the weekend either in solo or Lindy Hop so watch this space!

Trisha has natural flair, a unique touch and very distinctive style on the dance floor. Her focus is to recreate the look of the original dancers of Lindy Hop, mixed with providing followers with drills, technique and musicality. An accomplished musician & experienced in Tap she helps others to understand rhythms and how to improvise within the dance.
Tash & Steve
Tash & Steve are a part of the CSF team and will be teaching some of the additional classes during the extended week of Calpe Swing Fiesta. It will be their third year running now!

After just 6 weeks of learning with The Lindy Club Tash fell in love with Lindy Hop and so was lucky to find someone to practice with who was equally as keen - Steve Head - and so they became dance partners.  Steve started Lindy Hop on a beginner’s course after moving to Chandlers Ford. With no previous dance experience, it was only meant to be a taster. After the first few weeks though, the love was already growing. When a follow asked for a dance and didn't care about his lack of experience, Steve found the joy of social dancing and the great environment created by the people in the classes.

Tash & Steve joined "The Lindy Club Muskrats" dance troupe in 2015, and have performed at a variety of vintage fairs, weddings and dance camps. They also started teaching Beginner Courses for The Lindy Club and cover Bic & Simone's classes when they are not available.
